Para um professor, ensinar é uma arte que consiste em provocar reflexões nos alunos a partir de conteúdos didáticos. A Segunda Guerra Mundial, o Teorema de Pitágoras, a Teoria da Relatividade, uma competição de futebol: tudo cabe dentro da escola. O filme dinamarquês “Druk – Mais uma Rodada” coloca tudo isso no ambiente escolar. Mas adiciona um ingrediente que pode ser um bocado perigoso – tanto para jovens alunos quanto para experientes professores: o álcool. O filme vencedor do Oscar de melhor Filme Internacional merece ser visto com um copo de água nas mãos.
O ótimo ator Mads Mikkelsen (da série “Hannibal”) é um professor desestimulado, um pai desestimulado, um marido desestimulado, um amigo sem entusiasmo. Estar a seu lado é conviver com alguém que não consegue despertar nas pessoas nada que não seja a indiferença. Por isso, o álcool, que ele passa a ingerir como parte de um experimento que visa a trazer mais sentido a sua vida, é encarado como o ingrediente que poderá devolver o sentido a uma existência que perdeu o sabor. Mas o sabor do álcool pode ser bem amargo, como o filme descreve. Ao assistir a “Druk”, coloque gelo na água, um gole profundo e… tin-tin!
English – A high school teacher lives daily with the pulsating energy that young students usually exude. For a teacher, teaching is an art that consists of provoking reflections on students based upon didactic content. The Second World War, the Pythagorean Theorem, the Theory of Relativity, a soccer competition: everything fits inside the school. The Danish film “Another Round” puts all this in the school environment. But it does add an ingredient that can be a bit dangerous – for both young students and seasoned teachers: alcohol. The Oscar-winning film for Best International Film deserves to be seen with a glass of water in hand.
The great actor Mads Mikkelsen (from the series “Hannibal”) is a discouraged teacher, a discouraged father, a discouraged husband, an unenthusiastic friend. Being by his side is living with someone who can’t awaken in people anything other than pure indifference. Therefore, alcohol, which he starts ingesting as part of an experiment that aims at bringing more meaning to his life, is seen as the ingredient that can restore meaning to an existence that has lost its flavor. But the alcohol taste can be quite bitter, as the movie describes. When watching “Another Round”, put ice in the water, take a deep sip and… cheers!
