Anderson Borges Costa, Brazilian, is author of the novels “Rua Direita” (Chiado, 2013), “Avenida Paulista, 22″ (Giostri, 2019) and the short story book “O Livro que não Escrevi” (Giostri, 2016) as well as of the plays “Quarto Feito de Cinzas” (“Ash Wednesdroom” – translated into Italian to be performed in Italy), “Elevador para o Paraíso” (“Elevator to Heaven”),“Três por Quarto” (“Three by Room”) and “Baú de Tranqueiras” (“Junk Chest”). He was translated into English in Canada. Awarded in the Guarulhos City Book Award in two categories: Book of the Year and Author of the Year. Awarded in the Instituto Federal São Paulo Literature Contest. Selected for the Off Flip Award 2021. He is the Head of the Portuguese Department at St Nicholas International School in São Paulo, where he is also a Portuguese and Literature teacher. He is an English teacher at Cel Lep language school. Graduated from the University of São Paulo (USP) in Languages (Portuguerse, English and German), he is a literary critic and writes reviews for several magazines, such as “Germina”, where he writes the column “Adrenalina nas Entrelinhas”, and “Revista da Quebrada”, where he writes the column “Quebrada que Brada”. Anderson was born in São Paulo, Brazil, on January 29th, 1965. He acted in director Anna Muylaert´s movie “Don´t Call me Son” playing the main character´s Literature teacher.
